There are a lot of wedding photographers in Saint John and surrounding area to choose from. That's a good thing, because there are a lot of brides and grooms that need pictures taken on their special day!
Something that we've been thinking of lately at Miranda O'Leary Photography is how clients choose their wedding photographers. Most professional photographers with experience have the skills necessary to take good photos. usually it's just a matter of taste as to whether a potential client likes one Saint John photographer's portfolio over another...and that's the way they usually choose who to hire for their wedding...cost and professionalism being equal.
However, for weddings especially, where the photographer is an intimate part of EVERY detail of the ceremony and the entire day...it would make sense to evaluate whether or not your personalities gel as well, don't you think? You don't need to be best friends, but if their personality is irriating to you, or they are too laid back...or too rigid for your personality...it can make for a less perfect day.
We all strive for perfction on our wedding day. Perfection is impossible, but the closer you can come the better. A Saint John wedding photographer you are comfortable with...that's with both their work and their personality...will make for a 'closer to perfect' day!
Luckily there are all many different wedding photographers in Saint John..because as we said before, there are many different brides and grooms...and no one will be the perfect photographer for everyone. Choose the wedding photographer that works best for you!
I've been a photographer in the saint john area for 8 years and I've basically done it all...weddings of course, family portraits, boidoir photography sessions, corporate events...you name it, I've seen it.
One of the things I enjoy most about my work is the relationships I've formed with my subjects. After photographing someone's wedding, pregnancy, newborn photos, and family portraits, it's like you're part of the family, sharing all of the most important events in their lives and capturing memories for them to cherish in the future. What could be better than that?
